This was a bit of editorial text which was sent
out in Part XIV by accident. It's included here for completeness, and
because it might help explain things slightly.

Why a 'spare' dimension can't be unrolled and used as a fourth: it is
not native to our perceptions, where Time is. Hence before/after
overlays will come more naturally in four sight than if an 'extra'
dimension were used instead. Well, maybe. It sounds like crap to me, but
it might fool some people if they're foolish enough to ask.
