The fact of the matter now though is that my creative impulse is almost
entirely taken up with my job and other computing activities. I suppose
I'm lucky that my job keeps me happy, but then again happiness does not
seem to be conducive to my writing fiction.
I still believe that there is a novel or two in me, and know that there are
other fragments on my hard disc and lurking in my filing cabinet which could be
expanded into full blown stories, but for the moment this is probably all there
is. I hope, gentle reader, that you enjoy it. Feedback is welcome.
The fiction here is not recent, but it is self-contained. Without
pleading for indulgence, these capsules are generally in need
of a rewrite. In my defence, I have chosen to publish these here as
they stand as an open and honest portrayal of how they were first read
by others. There are notes on each piece, including an approximate
date for when it was written.
