ochmir is the board
game used as a metaphor for the political system of the Orthean Southlands
in Mary Gentle's books Golden Witchbreed and (to a much lesser
extent) Ancient Light. Trying to make ochmir work is
something I have been dabbling with more or less since I read the first
book.
workbench - I built a
workbench come jellymould at the beginning of 2004. Now the project is to finish writing
it up!
downstairs - we've
been entirely rearranging the downstairs of our house in order to make the
space down there more usable. I've been chronicling this in my blog.
marathon - I have a
goal to run a marathon. The target race is the 2004 Portland Marathon, and
I have been blogging about the trials and tribulations.
