The second official meeting of Pilgrims in Portland[1], Mornington Crescent capital of the US, this micro-Pilgrimage featured a higher proportion of cameras to Pilgrims than any other Pilgrimage in history. Not quite the 100% coverage that one might aspire to, but 50% is pretty damned high. And there was a haggis. This was Riana's first Pilgrimage (as it was Lisa's, although she may not wish it placed on her record), and jolly good fun it was too. Images are presented here from the cameras of both Dan and your archivist, all taken in the vicinity of an LU-styled business sign spotted by an extraordinarily sharp-eyed Riana as we hurtled past in Dan and Lisa's car. | [1] the first Portland micro-Pilgrimage was not much noted at the time, given that it consisted solely of Dunx and Dan meeting in the Elephant & Castle pub in Portland on 15th August 2000, there were no cameras in evidence, and Dunx was trying to keep his not being in the UK that week quiet. |
