Euston game
This is the whole game.
The current state of play is:
- acb: I think it's about time that we played a Euston game on the MC server; so I'll start one.
(move #1)
- acb: Euston (a classic Euston opening, half-inverted)
(move #2)
- Steve: Presuming that Euston was reffering to the Northern line going south towards warren street. I'll play Euston.
(move #3)
- Ian H: what can i say? Euston (The only plausible response to the half-inverted Euston opening
(move #4)
- Jonathan: Hmmm. That might have opened Euston Square, but I think it is still offside. Er....ummm..... Euston, I think.
(move #5)
- Eristophanes: Euston, but trying to move north. And trying very hard.
(move #6)
- Steve: We know you are Eristo, Euston..... I think
(move #7)
- Jonathan: Not obvious, but Euston should be a killer move in the long run
(move #8)
- acb: Euston (in the vicinity of Bakerloo, headed east)
(move #9)
- acb: Sorry, that should be Victoria, not Bakerloo. Unless one uses the Erlmann notation, which is not standard. Ta.
(move #10)
- Jonathan: I am sorry, we play Touch-and-move here. You can't retract a move after you have submitted it. If you make a mistake, that is your problem.
(move #11)
- Eristophanes: Hmmm. I have a dilemma. But I think I'll have to employ Rodder's shuffle and play Euston.
(move #12)
- Ian H: Well after a mistake like that from acb it might be possible to extend to goodge street.... but its still too risky so i will play a safety shot - Euston.
(move #13)
- Kev: Euston, doubling back three.
(move #14)
- Rob: With a circular move, double hingeing on the inside to bring us swiftly to .... Euston
(move #15)
- acb: Euston (Southern platform) (salvaging what I can)
(move #16)
- Kev: Mirroring Ian's past move (I have little choice) - Euston.
(move #17)
- Steve: Reynolds inversion, Euston
(move #18)
- Eristophanes: Time for a Keynsian self-straddle, all the way back to Euston.
(move #19)
- Kate: You're bluffing. Euston.
(move #20)
- Ian H: I think that you all missed quite a large chance there - how can i best monopolise on it..... Hmmmmm Euston seems like quite a promising move at this point
(move #21)
- Eristophanes: I wasn't bluffing Kate, I taking it all the way back, to Euston.
(move #22)
- Kev: [applies compass, ruler and calculator] Euston. Although it should be noted that Beck's Coefficient for the station has risen to 0.83 - things are getting dangerous...
(move #23)
- acb: Indeed, they are. It looks like it could be Euston in several moves. Euston (the Bakerville null-shunt)
(move #24)
- Ian H: Mornington Crescent !!! - ok starting at Euston then going southbound on the Bank branch of northern, change at Euston then take North on victoria stopping at Euston going south on charing cross branch via Euston arriving again at Euston and finally going
(move #25)
- Ian H: (Winner's Comments) : (continued) - north on the northern line through Euston pausing only to catch an emergency stand in bus service from Euston calling at Euston via Euston before arriving at MC!!! a classic 9 Eustons endgame
(move #26)
- Jonathan: Erkle.
(move #27)
- Steve: I quite agree with Jonathan a,d wibble
(move #28)
- acb: beable, even.
(move #29)
- Eristophanes: (wry smile) I could see it coming.
(move #30)
- Kev: No comment.
(move #31)
- Kate: I'm still think Euston would have been a better move, even if it didn't win the game.
(move #32)
- jfdlglkfdflk: gfjhjfg;hj;lhkgf
(move #33)
