Conservative Government Modification rules
This is just the last 40 moves. You can see more moves, or the whole game.
The current state of play is:
- Yao: Oh, c'mon. We must maintain a fair parity of choice.
(move #101)
- Scoty: Oh Yao: I can't believe you'd miss a Gospel Oak opportunity? Classic straddle if ever I saw one.
(move #102)
- Kev: Not under the 1981 rules (misprinted, of course), which I think Yao is working from.
(move #103)
- Ian H: Yes but as allready been stated by yourself the rules were misprinted, the corrected version doesnt even mention such a clause as this
(move #104)
- Steve: Yes it does, I think you'll find it on the 47th Page of the Appendix C in Volume 4, though i could be wrong as I am doing it from memory.
(move #105)
- Dave: Don't worry, Steve. I've got my copy handy, and it quite clearly states that th Gospel Oak opportunity straddle is not permissable.
(move #106)
- Yao: Well considering i wrote a copy of the Holier than Thou version of the Golspel Oak which is to be released yesterday, i think an overall pause to read it trunk to trunk should be in order.
(move #107)
- Yao: Also seeing as i can't spell this minute i insist on a two minute yell to confirm my clearly thought pogly.
(move #108)
- Kev: A Pogly? From a red station? Not with a Beck's of 4.7.
(move #109)
- Yao holds up a copy of Kev's diary: Snaresbrook
(move #110)
- Referee: Would Kev and Yao please stop conferring. Also, uses of playing aids and devices (including diaries) is forbidden under the Conservative Goverment Modification Rules, based as they are on the '6 and Out' rules which intern owe they're existence to Mrs. Trellis rather large garden fence. Please refrain or an Amber Caution shall be imposed, indescriminately.
(move #111)
- Scoty: Bzzzzzzzzt Objection. No such move: you cross the Northern void. So back to Gospel Oak, I'm afraid.
(move #112)
- Ian H: I hope its not one of those diarys with the tube map at the back??? bloody ameteurish inventions they were.........
(move #113)
- Alasdair: Don't worry, according to my contacts the diary is of little use above level 4, so we can take the game out of the reach of it fairly easily. Baker Street, shifting us to level 2.
(move #114)
- Kev: Hmm. It is, of course, very difficult to rule out the use of diaries (or even move-processing software) in a game medium such as this. Personally I refer to the Underground map in my diary for the triangulation checks - I don't know about the rest of you, but I haven't mastered doing these in my head, yet.
(move #115)
- Kev: West Brompton (midpointing from memory).
(move #116)
- Yao: i see. Well, physical mediums in cases such as these are a foundation to such shifts as Baker Street. Playing aids such as the brain's transient thought gauge is best advised. Snaresbrook again. Double shift.
(move #117)
- Eristophanes: Turnham Green, getting dangerously close to Jonathan's home territory now, how does he do it?
(move #118)
- Kev: He sold his soul to the devil, I'd heard.
(move #119)
- AndyL: Amersham - we haven't been oujtside the M25 yet, have we? This should make it a bit difficult, considering the previous overland routes, too.
(move #120)
- Scoty: Hmm: but isn't the whole thing irrelevant if you're going for a Norwegian Craw? Aldwych
(move #121)
- Andrew: Ooo, clever. But a recursive straddle to South Kensington is still possible.
(move #122)
- Nic: Cotteed shunt to Aldwych!
(move #123)
- Ian H: Tufnell Park - thus reversing play to nic
(move #124)
- Nic: An abandoned pickering to Pimlico!
(move #125)
- Kev: Ah, that's to be the way of things, is it? Harrow and Wealdstone, then.
(move #126)
- Yao: Not quite. i still have my poser to play. Lal Qila.
(move #127)
- Ian H: intriguing play from Yao there, i must investigate, Knightsbridge
(move #128)
- Scoty: Not sure if I follow Yao's move. Try some herbal remedies Yao
(move #129)
- Yao: Sorry. i will simplify that. Take.
(move #130)
- Jonathan: I replaced the tube map in my diary with a blank piece of paper, because I am bloody good, me. Er...Brixton, of course (Northern Line blocked for five moves)
(move #131)
- Alasdair: Russian Finesse - Acton Town.
(move #132)
- Andrew: Green park, doubled and hedged.
(move #133)
- Ian H: Pinner - see how far your hedges get you there
(move #134)
- Andrew: Pinner? desparation! Aldwych Gate East, trebled and electric-fenced (1978 addanda to Jordan & Ellis)
(move #135)
- Andrew:
...from there, Green Park, and...
(move #136)
- Andrew:
...dare I say it...
(move #137)
- Andrew:
... Mornington Crescent.
(move #138)
- Andrew: (Winner's Comments) : Altogether too simple after the Brixton play. Never underestimate the power of Hedging.
(move #139)
- Ian H: Comments - are you allowed to play 3 moves thus setting yourself up for MC
(move #140)
