From Stonebridge Park...
This is the whole game.
The current state of play is:
- Kev: Stonebridge Park (unlucky for some)
(move #1)
- Jonathan: South Kensington (playing my home station)
(move #2)
- Stephen: Not in the second move of the game you're not. Outlawed in '73 by Blackfriars Meetings in conjunction with the then MC council of Wales.
(move #3)
- Doug: But what about the '79 Olympiad in Cardiff? I'm sure they overturned the ruling there.
(move #4)
- Kev: Only to extricate the finalists from the very rare Morden Paradox - I understood that the revoking was purely temporary, and that the ruling stands.
(move #5)
- Jonathan: South Kensington played wild. I will get around this whatever it takes.
(move #6)
- Kev: You're a braver man than I, Jonathan.
(move #7)
- Jonathan: Which presumably is why I am an international and you aren't.
(move #8)
- Steve: Dollis Hill, not wild but extremely agitated
(move #9)
- Doug: I'm still not happy, but in the absence of a ruling, I'll press on: Wapping.
(move #10)
- Kev: Stanmore, if I'm reading it right.
(move #11)
- Eristophanes: Indeed you are reading right, Kev, forcing me to coddle the Grange Hill Loop, therefore I'll choose the option that resutls in the least damage, namely: Fairlop
(move #12)
- Jonathan: South Kensington
(move #13)
- Steve: Burns straddle to Monument
(move #14)
- Doug: Bayswater. It might seem illegal at first sight, but remember which stations are wild after a Burns straddle!
(move #15)
- Kev: Back to Stonebridge Park. The end is nigh...
(move #16)
- Jonathan: Time to delay the end then. Simple enough, a nice step to the right and...
(move #17)
- Jonathan: Turnpike Lane (Cannon Street block imparted on Northern Line)
(move #18)
- Doug: Nicely, Jonathan. West Brompton, to double the block and clear the firebox.
(move #19)
- Steve: This'll throw a spanner in the works. Ongar get out of that one.
(move #20)
- Jonathan: It may affect the attack, but it leaves the block untouched, so not a brilliant move.
(move #21)
- Jonathan: Transparent and Neutral move: Pimlico
(move #22)
- Kev: Parsons Green.
(move #23)
- Jonathan: BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZTT. Offside, surely?
(move #24)
- Eristophanes: I don't think so, Doug's entry into the Wimbledon branch of the District five moves previously (West Brompton), played all stations to Wimbledon onside until a Gradely Half-Lock is declared, which in this case would mean a move to the Metropolitan. Unless West Brompton was played at the weekend. Anyway, if I'm right, I'm going for the erstaz. Becontree.
(move #25)
- Steve: Unless I'm reading this wrong the next one has to be Colliers wood
(move #26)
- Jonathan: I am still not happy. Don't forget that the double block more than acts as a Half-Lock.
(move #27)
- Chris R: Wood Green (note name chaining is now in force for 5 moves
(move #28)
- Jonathan: Well in the circumstances I will have to let it go, and retort with Dover Priory
(move #29)
- Kev: Pinner, which should get us around the name-chaining block. I reckon.
(move #30)
- Jonathan: I have been doing a bit of research into the classical era, and can thus answer the name-chaining with Putney Bridge (Sidney-Lestrade No.3 Shunting Reposte)
(move #31)
- Simon: In that case - Victoria
(move #32)
- Steve: Oh thanks a lot!! Gloucester road
(move #33)
- Jonathan: Oh thanks a lot! Mornington Crescent.
(move #34)
- Jonathan: (Winner's Comments) : NOBODY plays SW7 like I do. Gloucester Road me at your peril!
(move #35)
