The Wolfman: Okay, to celebrate blamelewis' return from what is my
favourite European capital, I hereby propose a game on the
Prague metro.
For those of you who missed the short-lived version of
this game in The Game We Do Not Mention over on !York, the
target is Zelivskeho, and there is a map here.
And so, I'll get things moving with Pankrac,
declaring home.
(21:45, Thu 09-Aug-2001)
Dunx: [Wolfman] You're best off putting maps and intros in the
game comment box since then it will appear at the top of
each page. Maybe I should explain this somewhere... Anyway,
in the interests of not losing the map reference, I've
cloned your into into the index file. Feel free to complain.
Zlicin, to open myself.
(06:20, Fri 10-Aug-2001)
The Wolfman: I intended to - but pressed return by accident...
(08:59, Fri 10-Aug-2001)
Raak: Hloubetin. Given that half the accents in Czech can't be represented in HTML, I'll skip including the ones that can.
(09:17, Fri 10-Aug-2001)
Blob: I like these foreign games (it's about time we had another bash on the Metro - perhaps a mystery Metro to add a bit of spice - maybe once this one has finished) ... anyway I'll open at Nadrazi Holesovice declaring home at Staromestska. [Raak] You're quite right, trying to find a z with an inverted circumflex atop it proved a dismal failure !
(12:21, Fri 10-Aug-2001)
Herr Bratsche: Vysehrad, doubling.
(13:34, Fri 10-Aug-2001)
Blob: [HB] You failed to declare Smetana with that last move - I therefore claim the Gold podume that you thereby missed out on.
(15:40, Fri 10-Aug-2001)
blamelewis: I'm honoured! And what a perfect way to wind down after a holiday...
Well, to start as it was... Nam. Republiky, declaring rather nice lodgings at Vltavska.
(17:31, Fri 10-Aug-2001)
The Wolfman: Malostranska, declaring Royal way
(17:47, Fri 10-Aug-2001)
Nat: Andel, prohlaseni o "Ukoncete prosim vystup a nastup, dvere se zaviraji".
(00:44, Sat 11-Aug-2001)
Yer Mom: Flora. [Nat] Doesn't appear to be beer-related. What does it mean?
(18:02, Sun 12-Aug-2001)
Raak: [Nat] I make it "Angel, statement about/at/on/against 'Please finish the climb/performance/appearance/scene and entrance/lining-up, the doors are closing'." My Czech needs more work...
(21:42, Sun 12-Aug-2001)
Blob: I reckon a quick strile to Jiriho z Podebrand should free up the laterals nicely. [Nat] Does Varovat se člen určitý jáma! make sense ?
(10:12, Tue 14-Aug-2001)
blamelewis: Hradcanska for a Pivo Voucher
(01:01, Fri 17-Aug-2001)
Nat: Muzeum Prestup na trasu C. [YM/Raak] Next time you're on the Metro in Prague, you'll be hearing at that at every station... 'Please finish getting off and getting on, the doors are closing.' [Blob] I read (though whatever you're using as accents are coming out wrong on my screen) 'to avoid - the member/the element definitely - the hole' - I think that's a no... (Czech declensions are worse than Latin ones though. Plus it's late and I'm tired)
(00:56, Wed 22-Aug-2001)
Herr Bratsche: Countering Nat's Muzeum with a decisive Mustek, Jan Palach Memorial declared.
(13:26, Tue 28-Aug-2001)
The Wolfman: Ah, the Vaclavske Namesti offensive. I think I'll
slip away to Budejovicka, stealing blame's Pivo
Voucher along the way.
(19:26, Wed 29-Aug-2001)
Yer Mom: Hurka, treading carefully...
(10:29, Fri 31-Aug-2001)
Dave: Muzeum
(12:24, Fri 31-Aug-2001)
Blob: Oh well that's easy, Zlicin perhaps I ought to add "Zachytna parkoviste" just to make my position clear.
(10:01, Fri 07-Sep-2001)
Tolken: Flora, all fauna now wild.
(16:25, Fri 07-Sep-2001)
The Wolfman: In that case, Vysehrad.
(17:47, Mon 10-Sep-2001)
Raak: I.P. Pavlova blznk
(21:15, Sun 16-Sep-2001)
Nat: Opatov, because it's a truly evil place.
(00:43, Tue 18-Sep-2001)
Blob: Well it's taken me the best part of a month to work this move out but here we go : Three red tokens on Mustek a pirouette around Dejvicka ... and I can strile straight into Zelivskeho
(16:19, Thu 11-Oct-2001)
Game won by Blob Blob: Quite pleased with that. That's my first ever Czech win. Yippee.
(16:20, Thu 11-Oct-2001)
The Wolfman: <sigh> ... Just as I had a Defenestration lined up
and ready to go...Oh, well. Congrats, Blob.
