JLE: Unfortunately not, as that didn't include a way to match with the ivory poachers, nor did it keep the numbers up. It should also, by the way, have been "2,480" serpent gods. I'll try to reunify with 2,479 poisonous vipers / 7,442 performances of Saint-Saens' "The Elephant". (Reunifying the second strand with the third with the ivory/elephants/music connection, and also noticing that the bifurcation has led to the numbers coming down by more than one at a time, as *each* half of the bifurcation has reduced by one... the same can be said of the trifurcation.)
