I'm a great fan of the space-filling curves of mathematics, for example the Hilbert, Peano, and (my favourite) Sierpinsky curves. I just think they are really nice pieces of visual mathematics.
However, all of them could take a lesson from R, our almost-three year old. He sometimes comes and crawls into bed with us in the night, and you do not want to get out of bed once he is installed - it is astonishing that such a small person should take up quite so much space!
