Beautiful Code is a collection of essays by leading programmers - not software engineers, not architects, not developers, but programmers.

That alone makes me love this book.

The essays are of varying quality, utility and penetrability, and I've only read the first four or five, but the subject matter covered is often fascinating and the thought processes revealed illuminating.

Definitely a pleasing purchase that I look forward to reading more of.
