The book list is being updated, and I thought it worth mentioning the fate of some of the books that have fallen off the Stack.
- Harry Potter - finished the series last summer just before baby #2 was born. It ended well, one might almost say tidily, and I was highly amused by the gyrations that Rowling had gone through in order to distribute the destruction of horcruxes fairly among the supporting cast, and to ensure that Harry didn't have any blood on his hands. Book #5 is still the low point for me.
- significant texts - I had several axiomatic works on the stack: the Bible, the Koran, and Knuth. I never picked them up again. Another time when I have more time. I should also add the Torah to that list of course: after all, I wish to be inclusive in my non-reading of Abrahamic religious texts.
I am generally not reading very much at the moment. The evenings are entirely occupied with child care, and so most of what I am reading at the moment is stuff I pick up while waiting for my computer at work.

Agreed on Harry #5, at least to the extent that I can have an opinion. It was so bad I forewent its successors. I'm prepared to take your word that they were better, but my own boy wizarding days are over.
