Time for a book run to Powell's Technical Bookstore - needed a quick infusion of technical know how at work.

As part of this run I updated my Java In A Nutshell. I have been labouring along with the third edition for some time now, but it is very out of date - most especially, none of the language changes in Java 1.5 are included. Hence I slapped down my wedge for a nice shiny fifth edition of the tiger book.

It is a fine book, but fails one important test of a nutshell reference: it is over 1,200 pages long.

That's a hell of a nut.
