Um, yeah.

Well, we bought this because it was cheap at the supermarket. I was deeply unimpressed by Potter #5 (Rowling, like Anne Rice, needs an editor), but picked this up because I knew we would want to read it at some point and might as well have it on the shelves ready to go.

But my feelings toward the book are not anticipation. I would describe it as the same ambivalence I felt about the last Star Wars film: a need for closure rather than excitement. Given that only The Order of the Phoenix was really bad in book terms I hope my ambivalence is unfounded.

Jen will probably read it first. I will get to this one after reading the other five to Russell.

Yeah, I'm totally with you - Rowling definitely needs an editor. The first couple Harry Potters were pretty good and concise but as the books became more popular, she's become more verbose.
