Yes, I am still playing with the su doku.

Today marks a red letter day - it is the first time that I have completed a puzzle rated as "Fiendish" without writing anything in the little squares except the final number. Usually I need to write all the possible numbers in, after a bit of initial guessing, and it's a process of elimination after that. I suspect it may have been an easy fiendish, if such a thing is reasonable.

I'm still very slow, though. I don't think I'd be much of a competitor in the upcoming Times Su Doku Championship, not when Carol Vorderman is talking about completing fiendish grids in 19 minutes.
