Obviously I'm not at MacWorld but I've been reading about the keynote which the Jobster gave and there seems to be some pretty cool stuff coming out.
- Mac mini - very neat looking device. If we buy a family Mac it would probably be one of the new flat screen iMacs since we don't have any psare peripherals kicking around, but this is a very nice little box. Certainly a reasonable solution for a cheapish web server box if it will run headless.
- iPod Shuffle - surprisingly good value. Apple do not have a history of selling things cheaply, but this is a cheaper device than most other comparable music players. Half a gig for $99 is twice the capacity for the same price as most other MP3 players you see in the shops here. When my iPod battery dies this is probably what I will replace it with.
- iWork - nice to see a new WP program coming out, but if this is supposed to be a replacement for AppleWorks then where's the spreadsheet? The price is good.
A lot of the other announcements on things like upgraded support for HD video and high capacity DVDs make no difference to me at this point.
