Why Should I Listen To You?
Fragmented observations of a fractured lifestyle.

Watching Windows crash is like picking at a scab: you know you shouldn't keep nagging away at it, but you just can't help giving it a poke to see if it still hurts.

It still hurts.

I find it highly comical that Windows is supposed to be the easy to use system when it seems to be so very, very hard to make it do even the simplest things sometimes. File sharing across a network? Nope. Setting up a printer? A complete pain in the neck. And the worst of it is that it is so easy to make Explorer die - I frequently end up with a machine I simply cannot use without a restart because Windows Explorer has got into some infinite loop trying to access a network resource which is there but which it can't find for some obscure reason, or a file share on a system which has been unplugged since I last accessed it. It's gone! Stop looking!

Truly let it be said that Windows makes the easy things too bloody hard.
