Why Should I Listen To You?
Fragmented observations of a fractured lifestyle.
November 07, 2004 ... And Relax

At the risk of tempting fate, I am taking a break from the novel today. Well, I've written seventeen and a half thousand words, I'm ahead of quota and goal, and I have been very tired the last few days.

I'm struggling to make the rather large dollop of exposition in the first part of the main plot in any way interesting. It's not just that it's a group of people talking about a road accident, it's that I Have no idea what at least two of the people at the table are really there for. Well, one is annoying, which is always a significant role, but do I need both the annoying guy and the geeky professor?

Well, back to it tomorrow morning. Hoping to break 20k quite handily.

Why not have the geeky guy explode for no adequately explained reason?

Hmm. ON second thoughts, that's not really very helpful, is it?
