Well, that's a depressing end to the election.

It really highlights just how bad this system is: a hair less than 50% of the US voted for Democrats, whether in the presidential or house races, and now it's all Republican.

I managed to postpone finding out the result until after I had finished my early morning writing session, which was for the best or I would not have been able to concentrate, and indeed I seemed to have pushed it far enough to the back of my mind that I did not dream about the election at all, let alone the bad dreams I had twelve years ago.

I still can't believe the bloody monkey won again, but we've just got to move forward I suppose.

*sigh*
