Despite installing the excellent MT-Blacklist, I'm still getting dribbles of spam with the occasional torrent. I'm making a couple of changes to deter the less intelligent bots, since any spam is just annoying and time consuming to deal with.

The only noticeable change for users is that there won't be the pop up comment window any more, which actually ought to help since a new comment will be visible immediately rather than requiring a page refresh.
