Why Should I Listen To You?
Fragmented observations of a fractured lifestyle.

Just back from a book signing at Powells for Chris Baty, the founder of the aforementioned NaNoWriMo and author of the book "No Plot? No Problem!". He and a guest winning author Lani Diane Rich (who was published with her first NaNoWriMo novel, "Time Off For Good Behavior", and let me tell you that that took some finding because it took me a while to spell "behavior" that way) gave a witty and inspiring talk about what NaNoWriMo is and why you should do it, then the floor was opened for questions and tips from winning authors.

Ever so energised now. Definitely going to participate in NaNoWriMo.

I've selected my story, and have a bit of a plot outline. I now need to actually do some writing...

My target is 2000 words a day, which will give me enough slack to finish even with the occasional day off. We'll see how long this plan survives reality.
