Not running today, not doing yoga today. I still feel bad after yesterday.
What seems to have happened is that I reacted badly to a different dental anaesthetic. After my last visit to the dentist I found that my mouth stayed numb for three hours, which was about twice as long as was expected. So I was given a faster acting anaesthetic on Monday which should have left my jaw numb for a shorter time.
This new anaesthetic certainly succeeded in not leaving me numb for so long, but unfortunately it also made me ill. I felt a bit ick on Monday evening and I obviously managed to push myself out of bed yesterday morning to run, although I don't think it was a good idea in retrospect. I was at work for a whole hour yesterday before I went home because I had a headache and felt sick, and then I slept for six hours straight. I couldn't believe the time when Jen woke me up.
I feel better today, but I'm still pretty woozy so I'm not doing any physical activity.
And I've tweaked my shoulder from being in bed so long.
On the plus side, at least they showed some fencing on the telly yesterday evening. The sabre outfits are real science fiction costumes these days; quite the advance from when I last fenced.

Found your blog via a Google search relating to duff dental local anaesthetics, and found it immensely reassuring - thanks!
