30 mins/38:24 (3½ miles)
Not a very interesting run, since I was laying down a quick half hour's trundle. Short enough to not bother with water, although I wish I had remembered my sunglasses. Still stretched as usual of course - very necessary, that.
I am very glad that I did not cycle to work yesterday. My knee is feeling much stronger today as a result, as well as with doing physio this morning for the first time in too long. CK suggested icing the IT band might help, which appears to be the case. Try to do that a few times daily over the next couple of days, just to control the inflammation and stop it hurting quite as much after Saturday's run.
So, Saturday... I nearly didn't run today because of my leg (although I would have been climbing the walls if I hadn't), and I had my doubts about Saturday too. If I'm having trouble I felt I might be better off not running so that I can rest up for next week's half marathon and the 30K the week after, but at this point four hours after my morning run today I feel much better about the prospects for Saturday. It's only 11 miles, after all.
See how I feel tomorrow, I suppose.
Injury's a bugger though, and no mistake.
