I haven't had time to post photos of the newly laid carpet yet, or rather I have had time but not when my laptop is connected to the network at home.

However, I did get to use my circular saw yesterday. I was hanging the interior doors in the downstairs, and many of the doors needed something taken off the bottom to make allowances for the extra thickness of the carpet as compared to the old tile. Some of the doors needed almost an inch chopping off the bottom, and I'm really glad that all of them were glued together rather than being nailed or stapled (I was wearing goggles, but flying bits of metal are never good). It was an ideal application for the laser sight on the saw, too, because I just needed to draw a straight line on the door and then follow it with the laser rather than needing to lay down any straight edges.

Next job is either hanging the sliding doors on the cupboards (complete with new rollers, since a lot of the old ones had frozen), or doing network termination.

You have a saw with a laser sight? That's so James Bond.

If ever your saw with a laser sight is missing and I suddenly have one, think nothing of it....
