I mentioned a "furniture moving extravaganza" in my last run post: we hove now moved into a couple of the new spaces which have been constructed in the downstairs.
We spent a goodly chunk of Saturday afternoon moving furniture from the garage back into the family room, and it looks great. We're very excited about how good it looks, in fact. There is the small matter of putting things back on shelves, but this is something which can be done in small pieces over time.
The cats are happy again, too. They were not comfortable in the new spaces before the flooring was installed, but they are quite merrily tromping around down there now. They love rolling around on the new carpet.
The family room will probably be usable in only a few days and Jen is already using her meditation room, but the office needs a lot more work yet: the network cable runs need to be terminated, and furniture needs to be ordered to replace the rather manky desk which I have been using for the last few years. So we'll probably be using that by September.
The whole house feels more like our home now.
