The run on Saturday last was a lot of fun, but a five miler hasn't been that hard for a long time... laying off since the Shamrock has not been kind. Having said that, I am getting into better shape, and I am feeling much fresher about it all too. There's real enthusiasm for the running again.
Something I've started doing this week is to have some water with me on the train when I'm riding in to work. This has helped a lot in making me feel more ready for everything when I get in, and has in particular left me in much better shape for running. I had been quite worried that running from work might only be practical when I was driving, but I seem to have got past that now.
