January 09, 2003 The New Year

It's a new year - time to take stock and make plans for the coming months. There are no resolutions involved.

Most of my goals for the year are centred on my relationship with Jen - we're getting married at the end of March, and it's obviously very important that this event goes off smoothly. Then we're planning on moving house.

I want to carry on dealing with my ADD behaviours, too - this isn't really a goal, though, so I shan't list it as such. It's a journey I continue to travel upon, that's all.

The single personal goal I have for this year is to run in the Portland Marathon at the end of September. The timing should work out OK - my running at the moment is from work (partly because there just isn't enough daylight to run in the evening or morning) which I've been building distance at, and I'll be starting the serious distance running in May or thereabouts which is comfortably after we're back from honeymoon.

There's more to write about my running plan for the year, but that's for when I've fleshed it out a bit more.
