The intellectuals just aren't going to take it any more - just when you thought it was safe to back to the grammarian, attack of the killer apostrophe!

I do wonder sometimes if I am just guilty of applying programming standards of punctuation to English. When writing code, it is absolutely crucial that the punctuation be in the right place (it is not just "bad spelling with extra punctuation" as Dilbert's boss once suggested). Hence misplacement of apostrophes is grossly offensive to my eye.
